Bazaar
Morning at the bazaar. Our guide explained that – sure Western style supermarkets exist – but a bazaar is social!

I had fun capturing snapshots of little children. You will notice people carry children rather than baby-wearing or strollers.

Those are samsa in a tandoor (for lunch). Yum!
Silk Ikat
The afternoon was for silk weaving and dying by masters who generously showed us their craft. I think it’s obvious the tie-dye is a different craft from the ikat.

Our sweet guide at the Yodgorlik Handicraft Factory would be the first to tell you how cheesy the Soviet cotton sculpture was! And the flying carpet dude added some extra cheese. But the ladies at work were the real deal.

Dinner time
We took a little walk to dinner. Lots to comment on.
